I had my Windows 8.1 set up for a straight login from when I booted my computer up. My Windows 10 requires me to login with my hotmail (Outlook.com) login and password. How can I reset my Windows 10 so it will open directly when booted up?

I suppose you must turn your Microsoft user account into a local one (at least that's how the thing works on Windows 8/8.1).

Run netplwiz and uncheck 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer'. Press Apply and enter user name / password when prompted.

It will default to your local user. Replace with your ms user account information.

Very easy to do this, has been the same since Windows Vista and maybe earlier, that's just how long I have used it.

Change the username and password to your local or MS account and never have to worry about logging in again, to stop auto login just change both "1" to a "0"
