How do I fix error 0x80070057 ? I am running Windows 7 and trying to open a zipped file downloaded from secure server on internet. Unexpected error is preventing me from copying the file. Zipped files are just PDF's.

How exactly are you attempting opening the .zip file? (I mean through through Explorer?)

 

Try using 7-zip:

http://www.7-zip.org/

 

It is possible that the .zip file for *whatever* reason is not fully compatible with the Windows built-in zipfld.dll.
