Problem game "Pink Panther"

I have a problem with "Pink Panther  - Pinkadelic pursuit"... the installation says:

 

"the path to the folder d: \ contains an invalid character"

I'm not familiar with the game, but unless the above was a typo, did you by chance mistakenly get an initial space, " ", in your folder name that the installer doesn't like?  What, EXACTLY, did you try to use as your installation directory, what, EXACTLY, was the path to the installation source, did you try to install with a command line or did you just double-click on "install", etc.

Having a screenshot of the error would help.

What is the D: drive?

Are you using 32bit or 64bit version of Windows?

JFYI, this game was released in 2002. Finding photos and original system requirements is difficult.
