alot of Services doesnt start aut.

hello,

i installed WinXP today...and i changed something on my unattended cd,but i dont know anymore what i changed except some services i disabled

alot of Services should start aut. but it doesnt

and it takes sooo long until i can log in to Windows XP, i think cuz the services doesnt start...i install

i cant install Printer, cant look Eventmanager,..

first of all u're very right that waiting time is bc of the services.

and if u look at the task manager u'll probably won't see anything under "user name" tab.

i have always had this problem when i stopped lots of services.

these could be what's causing it

-Terminal Services (Terminaldienste)

-Server

-WebClient

+sens

I think its mostly bc of sens try it. (after getting the long wait u're getting i've always reverted back to my safe settings. which i close internet releated stuff comp browser , this that. so try sens.. i know its not dependent on anything but i think it's somehow related. if that fails try the other 4 services..

tried it, no luck!

i only can start the services manuelly

services like, Workstation, RPC, comp. browser, eventprotokoll, dns client doesnt start aut.,

i removed the 4 services from my regtweaks.reg file and tried to install winxp again but same problem f*** it!!

and i tried to install without any regtweaks

iam getting these error on the eventmanager: but its in german

i have all those services disabled/removed and no problems. Your problems are probably caused by RPC not starting. Is anyhing on your CD tampered with? OOBE? Product Activation?

use my services.inf to reset the default services. If you don't know what you're doing, don't fu** with your computer.

disablesd all services and i copied the services.inf file to my Inf Dir and tried that:

rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Default_Services_xp_pro 128 services.inf

and

rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Default_Services_xp_pro 128 c:\windows\inf\services.inf

but when i look in regedit nothing happens

i have removed ooebe too, but i made before a backup of my i386 folder and tried to install with ooebe but same prob

i think i doesnt changed anything of my xp cd, only disabled services ,removed ooebe and made my hotfixes up to date..but tried to install with ooebe and without the regtweaks

so i restored my old I386 Folder...will try to remove ooebe again and test it with vmware...

btw. is it possible that a Hotfix made this problem?
