I hope Microsoft is not intending to restrict "Search Providers" with their new product Spartan...

Was this update just a mistake regarding restricting the adding of new search providers...

OR is it their way of saying you will use Bing even if you think it is crap...?

I hope Spartan can live up to expectations...

Not that hopeful though...

To fix not being able to add additional search providers:

1. Install ( or uninstall and reinstall) KB3038314

2. Install ( or uninstall and reinstall) KB3049563

If this does not solve your adding additional search providers problem, then you have an atypical root cause.

What expectations of Spartan do you have?

Why does it need to be a separate app from Internet Explorer?  What's the attractiveness in that?

I have kind of a high end system but I don't find any speed problems at all with IE.  I am having difficulty understanding why anyone would crave another browser from Microsoft - especially since they have said they're not going make it as compatible with existing web pages as IE.
