well I like the old build better, except for cortana xor the fact that we have more languages now,

but, coloring got worse than ever, the taskbar lierally looks like vomit, despite having set a nice orange in the personalization (also some 3rd party themes dont seem to work for me). I like the start menu a bit better (except for the waste of space when no tiles are used) than b4, but in the end it gets crushed by classic start menu.

also you cant display the search as bar when the taskbar is at the top edge of the screen and so on...

I do like Build 9926. I've  started to get used to the start . I keep it on full page and lets me see just about everything in my Win 10 partition on a single page except for scrolling on the apps bar. Also since this is the third (? I think) build, I've got used to setting the tiles I actually use and keep them on my start page. I feel like just about everything I have had a problem with has been smoothed out by Microsoft in this build, at least I haven't had any problems so far, but I guess it is still pretty fresh

install UltraUxThemePatcher then

open the .theme file in notepad and find [VisualStyles] edit

Path=%ResourceDir%\Themes\\YOUR_FOLDER_THEME\YOUR_MSSTYLE.msstyles

i guess in your theme is like this

Path=%SystemRoot%\Resources\Themes\YOUR_FOLDER_THEME\YOUR_MSSTYLE.msstyles

move your theme in Resources/Themes folder and Apply the theme

wait a sec all single \ but the midde a double

Also to. Me it looks more like a problem with my theme Patcher, which one do you use?

Update, editing the theme was worthless, just tried BMs DLL plus disabling Secure Boot and so on, and now it works, making my Win10 quite a bit less ugly, but my taskbar still lookshas an ugly brown and the theme seems to have it's flaws, like having hopelessly oversized maximize/restore and minimize buttons...

It's got to look different than anything we've seen before, or it'll just be "old and busted", right?

That pulsating circle with the personalized greeting strikes me as very creepy and vaguely threatening. Reminds me of HAL 9000 in 2001: a Space Odyssey.

Cortana sounds like it might be fun to play with but is really just fluff.

Today I've installed more development tools, and I've got to say if Microsoft just avoids screwing up anything more and fixes one thing they've recently broken (the Windows Update process) I might actually be able to live with Windows 10.  I've been able to make all my development and business tools work with it.

That's a pretty tall order for them, though.  I doubt they'll avoid screwing up more stuff.

A rational company would keep the old control panels for doing EVERYTHING around until well after the newly re-implemented methods have seen hard service.  It's just the right way to work.  This business of deleting functionality then replacing it with something that's clearly less functional may be a preview-only thing, but it's just stupid.

How many folks are already stuck in a "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later." loop?
