March 30, 200422 yr Author eNuffSaid : Thanks for reply, but I know that way, I can also do that by modify "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders" Personal="Some Driver:\\New Location".But I want to move the default %userprofile% location(C:\Documents and Setting\UserName) To another drive.thanks,Climbing
March 30, 200422 yr Hi Climbing, there a a few ways to change the location for your profilesusing a new installation:- use a winnt.sif with the following code in it[GuiUnattended] ProfilesDir=%Systemdrive%\Profile- use a predefined value in hivesft.inf for new setupssearch for "DEFAULT_PROFILES_DIR", you will find something like thisDEFAULT_PROFILES_DIR="%SystemDrive%\Profile"when you want to cahnge your existing installation:- copy all files and folders in the specified profile to the new direction, then open regedit and search for "original_profile_path" and replace with "your_new_propfile_path" but be sure you replace every value!!!For new profiles make the same with "default_profiles_dir_path"When you try the last one, it can take a while, cause of a lot entries in your registry hope that helps, greez to all..

I don't think this is complex as you said.
