I.am Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 Hello everyone, I know to some people this might sound absurd. But my question is, is it possible to have two passwords for the same account on windows xp with some tweak/registry editing or whatever. I know why you should have one for blah blah security etc.But just wondering if its at all possible. Thanks in advance,I.am
Datalore Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 To my knowledge, nothing like this exists. I researched the subject and nothing came up. Sorry
newdles Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 To my knowledge, this isn't possible. There might be a way but nobody would take the time to figure it out and post directions as it would be pointless. All that work and the end result creates major security risks to just have 2 passwords and one account. Why bother having 2 passwords on one account? Why not just make 2 accounts the exact same with all the same settings and priveleges?newdleshttp://www.webzila.com
I.am Posted April 4, 2004 Author Posted April 4, 2004 Thanks anyways for replying! I was still looking for two passwords rather than two seperate accounts.-I.am/will keep looking...
beccatigger Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 Yes but if you made two accounts you'd still be able to share the documents between your accounts, that wouldn't be a problem. Just been trying to think why exactly you'd want two passwords. If you're trying to prevent access to certain programs or folders, that can be done within one account.
trev Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 It's impossible to have two passwords for one account. Why do you want two passwords anyway?
