ULZs in program folder not recognised

http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/UpdateLists.aspx specifically says that "in order to use the ULs, they must be in the same folder as the Windows Updates Downloader program folder" yet this simply does not work. I'd like to be able to use WUD as a portable app but I am unable to because the only way to get it to recognise the ULZ files is to install WUD and double-click on them.

Hmmm... Mine seem to work from here (after unpacking with e.g. 7zip) -

C:\Documents and Settings\<youruserid>\Local Settings\Application Data\Supremus Corporation\Windows Updates Downloader

Looking for -where- this is specified now.

edit - also required:

"The .NET Framework, version 2.0.50727 or newer, is required."

edit2 - Look at this - Yep, that FolderName is fixed! "How To" for Portable:

Yes, that works but "%localAppData%\Supremus Corporation\Windows Updates Downloader\" is obviously not "%programFiles%\Windows Updates Downloader\" - "the same folder as the Windows Updates Downloader program folder" according to http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/UpdateLists.aspx.

I want to use WUD as a portable app and, therefore, I need WUD to recognize ULZ files in the program folder, not the app data folder.

I can't help you there. I installed it at one time, discovered where the UL had to be, uninstalled, and -NOW USE IT AS A PORTABLE APP-. In other words, you must UNZIP the ULZ to obtain the UL and plce it IN THAT FOLDER. If the folder does NOT exist, CREATE it first!

That's the best it gets. As I said, it is HARD-CODED! Period!

How do you run it "portable" without Net Framework? You "install" that, don't you? IOW, you MUST have the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\<youruserid>\Local Settings\Application Data\

SOMEWHERE, right?
