I was just trying to avoid a lot of typing, had a lot of trouble figuring out how to fix the windows 8.1 activation issue and i came across this post when i was doing my research, i figured out how to do it maybe an hour ago still had this post open so i figured i'd link my answer because it didn't look like you guys fully resolved the issue. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers
