Internet Explorer - Disable Annoying Warnings?

Featured Replies

Hi

How can I disable the following warning messages in Internet Explorer. It is quite annoying when downloading files.

I've tried disabling smartscreen filter, but it still wont work.

Other suggestions?

Thanks!

This issue occurs because the file name extension in the URL differs from the actual file name extension. (The actual file name extension is specified by the "content-disposition: attachment" HTML header.) Because of the different file name extensions, the warning message is displayed incorrectly.

Perhaps do yourself a favor and switch-over to Chrome (Chromium), Mozilla Firefox and/or Opera (no reason not to use all 3, instead of suffering w/MSIE :))

Anyway, maybe give the Internet Options a whirl: Run... control inetcpl.cpl && see if changing the Internet Zones / resetting to default (from the Security tab) will do anything?..
