ironman14 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 When will the next KernelEx be released? Just today I went on YouTube and they said they were soon planning on discontinuing support for FF 3.6.28:http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170982-firefox-36xx-losing-support-from-modern-websites/This is the last stable Firefox on 98SE, and one that doesn't have limited features.I hope it comes out soon. It's been more than 2 years since the latest version.
M()zart Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Since there are no developers supporting KernelEx now, though there were some unsuccessful tries, I doubt that a new KernelEx version will ever be released. However you may take a look on Kext http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/157173-kext-diy-kernelex-extensions/
submix8c Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 You're welcome to try your own hand. http://sourceforge.net/projects/kernelex/http://kernelex.sourceforge.net/Here's the source -http://sourceforge.net/projects/kernelex/files/KernelEx/4.5.2/Here's the MSFN Topic -http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/130936-kernelex-452/Here is your "gee, but FF support" page -http://kernelex.sourceforge.net/wiki/Mozilla_FirefoxYou could have asked this Q in the MSFN Topic. It would have been seen but maybe answered with a "discontinued". Looks like xeno86 has lost interest and/or no longer has the time.
