KB2753842-v2 downloaded by UDC-10.08.13.bat

Recommended Posts

Hi guys:
The xdot's UDC-08.10.13 script download updates, check and make add-ons for nLite (See http://xdot.tk/updates.html).
I was analyzing the lines in the script and found:

wget -nc http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/4/B/54BF07C1-F780-4C28-A578-E64032DFB034/WindowsXP-KB2753842-v2-x86-ENU.exe

Also, I know that WindowsXP-KB2753842-v2-x86-ENU.exe was replaced by WindowsXP-KB2847311-x86-ENU.exe.
But then, why UDC-10.08.13.bat download WindowsXP-KB2753842-v2-x86-ENU.exe file?
Regards.

So just is requiered the latest file WindowsXP-KB2847311-x86-ENU.exe to fix Vulnerabilities in Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers Could Allow Remote Code Execution.
But why UDC-XX.XX.13.bat script download both files for nLite? (WindowsXP-KB2753842-v2-x86-ENU.exe and WindowsXP-KB2847311-x86-ENU.exe).
Perhaps WindowsXP-KB2753842-v2-x86-ENU.exe file should not be moved to the Obsolete folder created when running UDC-XX.XX13.bat?
