Tripredacus Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 What do you mean, error during build? In WSIM? It would tell you what error you had made.
technotika Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 hi well it all sysprepped ok but when restoring image to another machine there were a few errors building saying component doesnt exist and at the end it looped sayinginstall was no successful please reinstall windows - also I posted the wrong code its this - thanks <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"><settings pass="generalize"><component name="Microsoft-Windows-Security-Licensing-SLC" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SkipRearm>0</SkipRearm></component></settings><settings pass="oobeSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <OOBE> <HideEULAPage>true</HideEULAPage> <HideWirelessSetupInOOBE>true</HideWirelessSetupInOOBE> <NetworkLocation>Work</NetworkLocation> <ProtectYourPC>1</ProtectYourPC> <SkipMachineOOBE>False</SkipMachineOOBE> <SkipUserOOBE>true</SkipUserOOBE> </OOBE></component></settings><cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /></unattend>
Tripredacus Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Why would you specify a default setting? Remove SkipMachineOOBE and SkipRearm.
technotika Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 hi thanks for the tip, However when loading image..... "error compoenent missing in OOBE" <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"><settings pass="oobeSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.micro...nfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <OOBE> <HideEULAPage>true</HideEULAPage> <HideWirelessSetupInOOBE>true</HideWirelessSetupInOOBE> <NetworkLocation>Work</NetworkLocation> <ProtectYourPC>1</ProtectYourPC> <SkipUserOOBE>true</SkipUserOOBE> </OOBE></component></settings><cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /></unattend>
Tripredacus Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Validating your answer file in WSIM will help you greatly. For example, SkipUserOOBE is deprecated in Windows 7.
