March 21, 200422 yr Ok.. Im no newb to computers and all but i have a pretty newby question.I just installed XP home and whenever i doubleclick on a folder, it opens up a search.. Ive looked through folder options 20 times and just cant find it. Can someone help me?
March 21, 200422 yr What kind of search? Is it saying it is looking for the folder or is it bringing up a search assistant in the left pane?
March 21, 200422 yr Close the Search panel, then go to Folder Options > View and click on Apply to All Folders.See if that fixes it.
March 21, 200422 yr maybe some function of the mouse maybe spywareI had a similar problem but it might be a tweak i didn't really mean to apply.when I open a folder the folders are shown in the left pane. i didn't really play with it (bc i had that problem 2 days ago and I newly formatted)
