b-man Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 after a bit of reading there appears to be 2 different types of appsmetro apps and desktop apps.where do you find the desktop apps? whats the difference between them?eg twitter metro vs twitter deskopwhy are they called desktop apps and not just a "program" like normal desktop programs?
MagicAndre1981 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 desktop apps are the normal Desktop programs you run the last years. The new Windows Store Apps run in fullscreen, can be only installed from the Store and are touch focused.
vinifera Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 and metro apps are alot crippled in both UI and functionality
Aloha Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I play SushiChop most of the time when I turn to Start Screen! And there are some books to read there too.
