Hi,

I'm a new Windows Updates Downloader user and I notice that the first thing it tries to connect to after I click the download button is an Akamai server. The author says it downloads the updates directly from Microsoft so why does it first try to connect to Akamai? I also see a web address called vps1.supremus.com that it tried to connect to.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

1 - Microsoft uses Akamai Servers

2 - Likewise, "Supremus" is the connection to WUD to check for an Update to your "UL" file.

There is no problem with these connections. They are legitimate.
