i've got an old laptop with a 2GB hard drive.

all i want to use it for is to play videos and music from media player classic home cinema with ac3 filter.. and maybe view some pictures in the picture viewer, but that is it.

i've only got three blank cd's left and i cant afford to go out there and get some more.

i need this fixed before i burn another disc.

I see 1 glaring issue. nLite commonly has errors when used under Win7

hearing that, i'll find something to trade for an old laptop hard drive.. that way i wont need to use nlite.

its a compaq evo n610c

i got it barebone, had to get a new keyboard, new touchpad, hard drive case, hard drive, power adapter.

had to put in a new power socket.

had to take it apart and bend the pin back in the headphone jack.

now it needs new usb sockets.

i left it out in the hot trunk and the lcd screen boiled and the right mouse button quit working, but it still works.

some buddies at a mechanic shop have an old technics receiver connected to an old bose 301 speaker.

i want to hook it up to the receiver's rca input jacks and use ac3 filter for its time delay to see if i can get a better sound.

i keep the computer around for emergencies.
