Brad95 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) Hello, i'm new to this site, so i'm sorry if this post is in the wrong place.A few weeks back i had a problem with my Vista basic (Pre installed) and didn't know how to recover as there had been many corrupt files.A friend suggested installing Xp and then opening up the recovery partition from there. I'm unsure to as whether this is possable, and if i'm stuck with Xp.If anyone can shed some light, i'd be very greatful. Sorry if there is a lack of information i'm no whizz kid with computers. My computer is a Zoostorm, i am unsure of the model.Ps.. Try and keep it simple, thanks. Edited February 4, 2012 by Brad95
Ponch Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Recovery process can depend on the make of the computer. This is one of the many missing basic info in your request. Please also read the forum rules and change your thread's title by editing the first post. You might have deleted the recovery partition by installing an other OS. Depends on what you did. What partitions do now you see in Disk Managements ?
Brad95 Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) What partitions do now you see in Disk Managements ?I see ''(C:)'', ''(E:)'' and ''WinRe''Thanks for helping, in advance. Edited February 4, 2012 by Brad95
Ponch Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 How big are them partitions +their place on the disk ? I guess C: is now your XP system (and active). What do you see in D: ?If you set the WinRE as active and press F8 at start, you might get more options, that you probably would have had before you installed XP. Do you not have any DVD to reinstall ?
Tripredacus Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 This isn't the first time we have had someone ask about Zoostorm WinRE partitions. Start here:
