Remembering resized windows

Why on earth has M$ prevented the ability to remember window resizing?? This is ridiculous.

Without using a 3rd party program (which seems to be the norm for anything past XP to fix all the shortcomings), is there any way for Win7 to remember anything other than the last window resizing??

After doing additional research it appears the blame is on this new so called 'feature' called Libraries.

So, the next question is, can this questionably, so called feature be removed, turned off, or better yet not installed in the first place using RT Lite (or similar)?

It's related to the registry, so read it carefully before you decide to use it.
