GreenLED
The tweaks that nLite provides are great, and having worked with MANY machines over the past 15+ years, most of them are easy to understand, but it would be helpful if some of the items had descriptions. I don't want to create an incomplete revision of an install disc and have to go back and re-burn a new one just because I wanted to update 5 tweaks. Is there some sort of "glossary" I can look up? (BESIDES Google!) I also want to understand how the tree is laid out. For example, some of the options have "Enable" and "Disable" so, am I to assume that these options that are selected are the defaults from the disc or are they the current settings on the box I'm using nLite on? Is it pulling from the current machines registry? A little guidance here would be much appreciated. (Please save the sassy remarks for the kiddies ).Here is the screen I'm talking about . . . Ponch
am I to assume that these options that are selected are the defaults from the discnot from "the" disc you loaded, but from an original standard Microsoft Windows XP disc, that is unless you loaded your "last session.ini" at beginning of nLite, in which case they are the result it will have (still and always assuming you are starting with the original Microsoft XP). GreenLED
Thank you for your response. Is there an other way to find out what these tweaks means, maybe a short description of each or am I going to have to take a journey on Google for each one of them? Sp0iLedBrAt
Well, since the last entry on the official website http://www.nliteos.com/ is dated Sept. 2008, I don't think new descriptions will be added. However, a lot of them are really self-explanatory. It's the ones in red you should be careful with, and they (most of them) are explained.Cheers
