Hello you all!

To use safely eSata on W2k, I've already a piece of software called HotSwap!, cute smart and free, v2 is for W2k:

which does properly its job at least on Silicon Image and Intel hosts, namely the equivalent of "eject" for an Ahci disk that Windows believes to be fixed.

So all buffered data is flushed to the platters, no newer data is accepted, nice, fine, thanks.

But I need more, and this is less easy on W2k.

Before unplugging the power cable to the disk, I want to spin down the platter, as I believe pulling the connector before is quite unhealthy.

Though, W2k's drivers ignore this command, which appeared with XP if I got it properly.

So:

Which software would spin down a disk on W2k? The host would be an ich10r with BlackWingCat's Ahci driver, which should be widely compatible with the driver for XP.

Thank you!
