Guest wsxedcrfv Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Two of my win-98 systems have 1.1.5 version of VLC, and on one system I tried to install the most recent version (I think 1.1.8) but it crashes upon launching. Unless I'm not looking in the right place, I don't see too much here in the win-9x/me forums about the functionality of the newer versions of VLC on win-9x (presumably version 1.1.1 and higher requires KernelEx, which naturally my systems have, but it doesn't seem to be good enough). So - what's the story here?
loblo Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Latest VLC 1.1.8 running fine here on Windows ME + KernelEx 4.5 Final. Edited April 1, 2011 by loblo
Guest wsxedcrfv Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 All right - I can confirm that VLC 1.1.5 did update itself to 1.1.8 on the win-98 system I'm using to type this post. I'll have to dig a little deeper on the other system to see why the update didn't work.
jds Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 VLC 1.1.9 works great on my P3. However on my P2, it crashes right after opening any media file.Joe.
patclash Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Does presence of Revolutions Pack affect VLC 1.1.x?I have the last RP and KernelEx and VLC 1.1.10 work well on my machine
