KenO Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Recently did my first successful WinXP nLite install. When checked the Windows Directory I noticed that there were a number of empty dirs (addins, AppPatch, Cursors, Help, ime, Installer, java, Media, msagent, msapps, mui, pchealth, PeerNet, srchasst, Temp).Am wondering what I should have done so these empty folders were not created.Did a forum search but got No results found for "empty windows dorectories".Thanks Ken
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Better safe than sorry. The Temp folder, for example, may be empty at the moment, but it is used during normal work. Avast! Free uses it all the time. It's a bit strange that the Installer folder is empty, or just maybe you can't see hidden or system files. Mine's well over 600MB at the moment. In my case, the Movie Maker folder is created in Program Files, although I remove it from the CD. It shouldn't really bother you.Cheers
