thecavern Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Hi,I have Office 2007 -- Excel 2007.I brought up one of my Excel docs and I must have clicked on something because there is now a veritcal area on the left. The top has the numbers 1,2,3 and 4. There is also some sliding scales with "+" and "-" buttons. These scales seem to suppress certain lines on the spreadsheet.I have no idea what this is called so I could find out how to get rid of this thing via "help". So -- how do you get rid of this thing ?

So -- how do you get rid of this thing ?You created an "outline structure".Simply select the whole sheet (top left "square" beween "1" and "A") and "promote" or "ungroup" everything until you have no more a structure.Data->Group Outlinehttp://www.wikihow.com/Group-and-Outline-Excel-Datahttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/remove-an-outline-HP005202031.aspxjaclaz
