Quick Launch - Finally the solution!

Hey there. Looks like I finally found a way to automatically enable Quick Launch in Win7.

Here's the registry setting that works for me:

Remove your quick launch then apply the reg reboot and then see the results . = nothing

However i finally made the quick launch script totally bug free now i will update my previous post about it, and compile the english and danish version with info on how to add other languages.

If I wanted to enable it after this, I would do it normally. That's why we're in the unattended forum, right?

Hello

Maybe the reason is the "space" inside the reg file you've posted!

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ Streams\Desktop]

The good one:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop]

And,of course if we copy/paste this one with Notepad, don't work. I will try and I tell you!

You can see that with the line I give, it's the same problem! It seems tere is a problem with the editor inside the Forum. It's needed to check the reg file after copy! Thanks

I think it works only for you because %USERPROFILE% inside the reg file is "Orsi"!

You need autoit, rename to 7QuickLaunch.au3 compile and try it. works on all screen resolutions

What I did was simply compare two reg files (without and with Quick Launch enabled) using the fc command.

The code I posted shall work if your user profile is named 'Orsi', but at least you can see where to look in regedit.
