Would it be possible to incorporate pictures as an addon?

Featured Replies

Greetings!

Since I've been toying with this I've gotten myself just about were I want to be! Question I have is it possible to roll some photos into the installation as an addon? Curious if this can be done!

Thanks in advance!

It can be done several ways. The first question is, where do you want them placed? You may not necessarily need an addon if you can use the $OEM$ Distribution Folders.

I don't have my VM up at this moment. I believer there is a shared pictures folder?

You can use the $OEM$ Distribution Folders linked above. Just put your files in the following folder. The $OEM$ folder must be at the root of the ISO. And enable "OEM Preinstall" in nLite's General tab within the Unattended section.

$OEM$\$Docs\All Users\Documents\My Pictures

Thank you! Man, that's almost too easy! This will speed up things for me alot!

FYI I'm doing all this for my step-daughter who's 700 miles away an knows about nothing about PC's. Her HDD is about full and I have an extra one here that's about 4 times bigger. Thought I'd be a good step-dad and give her the drive. I was my old XP box. Darn shame I don't have anything here with the same chip set! |= And it'll make my remote in go just that much faster with just about all of the existing software being installed from the install! :thumbup

Thanks for the info!
