Better Patch manager than Windows Update needed

Hello,

I did some tests with Windows update.

It seems that it ignores which components are removed by vLite. When I scan for updates, it lists Cumulative update for IE and a hotfix for Windows Mail, even though I have removed IE and Windows Mail.

I installed these updates to test. I thought that it maybe it should just replace the installed files, ie core. But all files were copied to my HD. Also iexplore.exe, which was removed by vLite.

Does anyone know a better patch manager than Windows Update?

I personally use Belarc Advisor, which lists far fewer hotfixes than Windows Update, but even it lists Cumulative update for IE and a hotfix for Windows Mail.

this is the failure of vLite. vLite removes the files, but doesn't remove the packages. So, WU thinks this functions are still present.
