HELP

If you are working with x64 OS.

I will try to explain how to use "Deploiement Tools command"!

Start|Programs. Select the command icon (Deploiement Tools command).

Launch Deploiement Tools command as Administrator (right click).

Write inside the command prompt:

cd..

cd amd64

cd Servicing

>Dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:%temp%\rt_mount /discard

If you have no success with the command, you can take ownership on the temp folder "RT_Mount".

Help about take ownership on a folder and subfolders:

same error

Error: 0xc1420117

The directory could not be completely unmounted. This is usually due to applica

tions that still have files opened within the mount directory. Close these file

s and unmount again to complete the unmount process.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

i DON'T have WAIK installed

EDIT: i can't take ownership too...access denied

You can try to restart the computer and lanch a new time the command; or take ownership and delete the temp folder, like it's explained with the link I give you above.

Where does RT 7 Lite save the ISO file? I have even created an ISO within RT 7 but when i install it on VMWare nothing has been changed.

Sorry, but RT 7 isn't very user friendly.

i cant install itunes 10 on my win7 custom, anyone knows which component or service shouldn't be removed?

If you had created an .iso, you'd know where it is because the program prompts you *where* to save it. I'd say you've missed a step.

I have found the program to be fairly intuitive.

I got both my WinSAT and scanner working with the attached profile. It only occupies an additional 500mb on the Windows install, so it was a good compromise.

Lastsession.txt

Hi Bilar Crais,

Thanks for your help, I've tried your lastsession.inf, but I want to keep winsxs as long as SP1 wasn't in final stage. And that's why you have a reduced windows installation.

Many thanks again.

:hello:

PS : For Printer support, it seems that Remote Registry and Server are necessary for a working printer support.

I'm on it.

After clicking apply RT 7 went through the motions, once finnished, i clicked on create ISO saved the ISO into a folder. I then started VMWare and used that ISO that was created, but when Windows 7 had finnished installing there were no changes made. I will give it another go.

If you like, post your lastsession.ini and I'll have a look at it.

Hi myselfidem,

FANTASTIC !!! I'm getting your guide now to discover this new feature (for me !!!) that I never know how to use. :thumbup

Thanks.

Hi myselfidem,

Thanks.

:hello:

I'm really sorry winterstorm, because I see I've made an error, my bad! :puke:

I've installed my reg file (but command MS-DOS) inside Tweaks section. The option "runonce", with the batch file with "REG ADD"... works inside OOBE section!

You can add your new reg file customized inside the section "Tweaks" and this one will be copied inside your Windows 7 source (%systemdrive%\Windows\System32\Custom_reg.reg).

Of course it's possible to use "runonce" inside OOBE section, but it's more simple to add reg files with the option "Tweaks"!

Sorry...I will update the guide about this question!!

Regards

*Edit: Explanations fixed for "runonce.bat" and "Tweaks" (same link for the guide)

Useful to add inside "Autounattend.xml":

</settings>
<settings pass="offlineServicing">
<component name="Microsoft-Windows-LUA-Settings" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<EnableLUA>false</EnableLUA>
</component>
</settings>

The "runonce.bat" works properly with administrator rights, like it's explained inside the guide for "ADD REG"!

Regards
