Glenn9999 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place for WMP OCX documentation? I'm having a hard time finding exactly what I'm looking for on Microsoft's site (most of what I search ends up pointing at a mobile widget, instead of what I'm looking for).
gunsmokingman Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I did 2 google searches Search One CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6Results OneSearch Two CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX" )Results TwoHope you find what you are looking for.
Glenn9999 Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 Hope you find what you are looking for.Actually I didn't, but I got a couple of clues on what I can look for that will maybe reveal the answers to my questions. Thanks for your effort!
Glenn9999 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 One more question I can't find an answer to: I got the OCX implemented now. The problem, however, is that I can't find anything in Microsoft's documentation with regards to licensure i.e. the conditions they allow use of such things. Any good pointers on this one would be appreciated.
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/licensing/Licensing_Win_Apps_CustApp.aspxor maybe here: http://wmlicense.smdisp.net/licenserequest/My guess is that, if it is a part of an SDK kit, it falls under the licensing agreement of the entire SDK. This is the google search I performed ( http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=KY6&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=Windows+Media+Player+OCX+eula&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq= )
