Hi.

Well i have been working hard to get more into WSFI and to also make some changes.

Anyway, you can now integrate your Wallpapers, Sound and cursors without having to delete then from with in WSFI.

New Release.

V1.10

Here's what's new.

Added - Integrate Alky for applications.

Added - Integrate Windows Vista Sidebar. (Thank you to Ricktendo64 as credits goes to him for Vista Sidebar.)

Added - Integrate Path Copy

Added - Integrate DirectX 10

Added - Integrate Aero Snap (Win 7)

NOTE: These are not addons they are integrated directly in the XP source as part of the OS.

Rewrote the user registry entries section and changed there UI. (I think it is a lot easier to enter registry entries. You can just paste your entries into the window.)

Changed the way the Wallpaper, Sound Schemes and Cursors are added. You do not have to remove them from with in WSFI first. (It is recommended that you remove these from with in WSFI due to the way they are removed.) I have not tested when removed from another application.

Disabled the option to integrate sound schemes while i rewrite and make changes to the code.

I have not tested the move My Documents location so i would be greatful if someone could test it for me.)

Main Menu:

Documents and Setting will be enabled in next version.

Registry Tweaks are not implemented yet.

******************************************************************************

I have tested all the integrations and all is integrated without any problems.

I have also tested it in VMWare and it ran fine. (Needed to make sure no files are missing.)

NOTE: You will need .NET 3.5 installed

Please leave some feedback here. Bugs/Comments ect. Thankyou.

WSFI will allow you to integrate all you Wallpaper, Sound Schemes and Cursors without the need to use the $OEM$ folder.

WSFI will integrate them all into your Windows Source folder.

So what sort of things to expect to be able to do with WSFI?

Here is a list of the things to look forward to as WSFI is developed.

1. Integrate wallpaper directly into your XP source. (Done)

2. Integrate sound schemes directly into your XP source. (Done)

3. Integrate visual style directly into your XP source. (Not implemented yet)

4. Integrate cursors directly into you XP source. (Done)

5. Change the location of the My Documents folder. (Done) Not Tested

6. Change the location of the Documents and Settings Folder. (Done) Not Tested

7. Insert registry tweaks directly into XP Hive files. (Not implemented yet)

8. Insert your own registry settings like (Serials for your programs) directly into XP's Hive files. (Done)

9. Remove some of XP's components.

10. Remove useless folders (Online Services ect).

11. Integrate Modified System Files. (Done)

12. Integrate DreamScenes. (Done)

13. Integrate Vista Sidebar. (Done) NEW

14. Integrate Alky for applications. (Done) NEW (Needed for Vista Sidebar)

15. Integrate DirectX 10 (Done) NEW

16. Integrate Path Copy (Done) NEW

17. Integrate AeroSnap (Done) NEW

This will stop the need of using the $OEM$ folder and eventually stop the need of using .Reg files.

************************************************************

Known problems.

Default Cursors.

When windows has booted up it reverts back to it default cursors after login.

You will have to go into Control Panel and select your default cursors from there.

At the moment i don't have a workround for this, but will look into it more as WSFI progresses.

Hi Ricktendo64

Here is a link for DirectX10. I've never tested it as of yet but it is reported to work. The site is in Russian but you can use the option on the right to translate it into english.

WSFI is dead, i have decided not to continue with it as there have been no comments or feed back. It has been fun writting it as it was my first application.
