Why updates failed!?

Hello

I've run windows update using internet explorer and it asked me to installed dot net version 3 and after I've applied the updates I've found many hotfixes but every time I try to download updates I found it failed.

Please any reason why!?

look in event viewer, does it say something ?

You could always try to download the updates manually of MS's website, or ever use an alternative like AutoPatcher. Personally I like to use the latter and you can also download DX, WMP, IE and lots of other essential little things as well as updates to Office all using the one program.

You can also look at %windir%\windowsupdate.log, which should give the error code for the failure.
