dirtchamber
Hey people. I know that you can remove the RAM requirement via vlite (and nlite for xp), but I was wondering if there's any way to remove the ACPI req. I have a mainboard with ACPI 1.0b, and the 7 installer hangs with an error, saying that this is not supported. Yes, I know, update the bios, already done that, but still 1.0b for ACPI. So, is it possible? Thanks. P.S. I find this very strange. The MB is Gigabyte GA-EG31MF-S2 (rev 2.0). There's no bios update that fixes that problem, but there's an utility that they say it's compatible with Windows 7...how can you install that utility on Windows 7 if you can't install Windows 7 on this mainboard?! Tripredacus
Not sure if this is related, but make sure your suspend state is set for S3 instead of S1.
