  1. Hey people. I know that you can remove the RAM requirement via vlite (and nlite for xp), but I was wondering if there's any way to remove the ACPI req. I have a mainboard with ACPI 1.0b, and the 7 installer hangs with an error, saying that this is not supported. Yes, I know, update the bios, already done that, but still 1.0b for ACPI. So, is it possible? Thanks. P.S. I find this very strange. The MB is Gigabyte GA-EG31MF-S2 (rev 2.0). There's no bios update that fixes that problem, but there's an utility that they say it's compatible with Windows 7...how can you install that utility on Windows 7 if you can't install Windows 7 on this mainboard?!
  2. That's sad... Oh well, "back to the drawing board"...
  3. So you're saying that I should have an untouched version of Vista to be able to install SP1?
  4. Hi all. I have a quick question: is it possible that SP1 not starting at all on a vlited Vista x64 is due to the modified Vista? I have the Windows6.0-KB936330-wave1-X64.exe (the x64 SP1) and nothing happens when I double click the **** file. Just some hdd activity and that's it. I got reports from others that used the same file that everything was ok. So, is this because of vlite? I don't remember all the things that I removed from the installation, but I didn't remove anything that had *caution on it.
  5. Hi all. I am new to this unattended stuff, but so far I've managed to create some addons for nlite based on the info I found here. Also I've nlited my XP installation to a 200MB size, and that's great. However, I couldn't get silent (or at least automatic) installations for two of my programs: Remotely Anywhere & WinGate VPN. So if anyone has any ideas for those, it would be greatly apreciated. Second, how can I add some files or folders to the cd and make them to be automaticaly copied to a certain folder during (or after) the Windows installation? Let's say I have a program that is installed already, and I don't want to install it again everytime, so I want to add its folder to the XP cd to be copied to the \Program Files folder and (if possible) to automaticaly add a shortcut to the desktop. And finally, is there any way to add an Office 2003 addon to the XP cd? Thank you all for your help.
  6. Hi guys. I've just installed Win 2003 and followed your guide to transform it into a desktop. Works like a charm. Found a good AV, and all my apps work (so far). Except one, that I need the most... It's FL Studio. The setup runs ok, but at the end it tries to execute "C\Program Files\........\FL.exe /setup" and that's when a **** error pops up: .....The memory could not be "written". This is the same error that I am getting when trying to launch the program. I tried using the compatibility wizard, but it's the same... What can I do about this?
