Remove MUI Language Packs

Anyone have any success removing the MUI Language packs? I've attempted the removal, with other minor adjustments, the installation errors out.

Windows 7 Ultimate (32 Bit & 64 Bit)

Edit:

Just ran the Image file directly in vmware and the installation worked flawlessly again. However, if I attempt to run it from the DVD the following error occurs:

Windows cannot install the required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files are required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070017

If I attempt to use the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to create a USB image file it not recognized as a valid ISO file.
