7Customizer - a Windows 7 Customization and Deployment tool

@coucou

I think it's better do not integrate the update Windows6.0-KB947821-v12-x86.msu.

This update will be given with Windows Update, if there is a problem with Windows Servicing.

Personnaly, I don't integrate this update and Windows Update don't give this update with my Windows 7 SP1!

I did NOT integrate Windows6.0-KB947821-v12-x86.msu. On the other hand I did integrate Windows6.1-KB947821-v10-x86.msu

Wait and see :whistle:

I saw this (inside your log file), but it's the same KB updated! :rolleyes:

HI,

Right now I finish WIn7 SP1 installation prepared with 7Customizer0.5 (integrated 2 extra languages, 11 updates and 488 drivers. No tweaks, No remove components, No Unattended).

Everything looks working just fine :thumbup

I checked:

The added language (Control Panel / Regional settings) OK

The installed updates, they are the here above 11 + IE9 all of them are in C:\Windows\servicing\Packages\ folder

The available drivers: they are 1012 elements in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ folder

@myselfidem: at first sight no probelem with Windows6.1-KB947821-v10-x86.msu.

Although I'll remove this update in my next DVD, I'm curious to know what problem you had ;)

Regards

I've installed SP1 with "sysprep" and I've no problem. It was just my advice about integration KB947821.

This upadte isn't given for me with Windows Update after my silent installation and all is fine.

But using 7Customizer 0.4.4 or 7Customizer 0.5.0 with my new Windows 7 SP1, I have an error and blue4603 is working to find the "bug"!

If I select another install.wim file and select a new time the install.wim I want customize 7Customizer works fine! Weird.

Cheers and thanks.

Just an advice,

In the past, I've got blue screen errors as welle as other weird errors during (frequently at the end of) win7 install.

I noticed that "working" disk as well as "save to" disks were defragmented. Then, before making the Win7.ISO file, I cleanup and defragment the "working" and "save to" disks (using diskeeper). Since that, the install is more smoothly and NO more errors (cross fingers) ;)

Thanks coucou! ;)

I always do like this!

When BSOD (Blue Screen Of the Death) happens to me sometimes is due to ATI Graphic drivers not working well on the virtual machine.

But my Windows 7 SP1 + IE9 customized with all my programs installed with WPI 8.1.0 works really fine.

The only trouble I'm looking for now is the pop up window asking to reboot the computer to have all the fonctionnality. I can wait with this pop up!

I think it is because IE9 is integrated!

When that reboot pop up window came? What prog activate that reboot? How far I know WPI release a reboot at the end of progs install, you may configure it.

Be care if you're installing VSO progs and other like that. VSO will install Patin-Coufin driver; although you configure it to NOT reboot it rteboot anyway.

Regarding IE9, as far as I'm concerned, I've IE9 integrated and get no rebbot.

OK! Thanks coucou for your help.

After many tests I see that KB976902 is include with SP1.

The window pop up is about Activation Windows 7 SP1, when I use the batch file to replace "Tokens.dat" activated for Windows 7 SP0!

After the reboot Windows 7 SP1 is activated, but this wasn't happend with Windows 7 SP0! :wacko: Weird!

Maybe is using Virtual Machine?

In fact, there is no problem with IE9 integrated!!

However all works fine!

Hi myselfitem,

I've no problem with pop reboot in my Windows SP1 because I'm not replacing "Tokens.dat". I prefer doing it later and manually.

I've KB976902 included in my SP1 too.

Be care with KB971033 is the Activation Genuine in SP0. I don't know if any KB replaced this one.

glance at IE9 languages adding ;)

BTW, I'm looking on how to add a link of Gspot.exe (is a free utility which identifies the codec) to my Control Panel.

I'll appreciate any help

SOLVED!

Windows 7 SP1 activated successfuly. The file "tokens.dat" isn't the same for Windows 7 SP1. Replaced with the new one and ALL IS FINE! :thumbup

Whithout KB971033 integrated!

No more window pop up about "Windows 7 SP1 Activation"!!

About the link for "Gspot.exe" inside "Control Panel".

Look for the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID inside the Registry for Gspot.exe, and make a reg file (example):

Link for Registry inside Control Panel:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Ajouter le module "Editeur du registre" au Panneau de configuration

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{77708248-f839-436b-8919-527c410f48b9}]
@="Editeur du registre"
"InfoTip"="Démarre l'Editeur du registre"
"System.ControlPanel.Category"="5"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{77708248-f839-436b-8919-527c410f48b9}\DefaultIcon]
@="%SystemRoot%\\regedit.exe"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{77708248-f839-436b-8919-527c410f48b9}\Shell]

@="Ajoute Editeur du registre au Panneau de configuration"

Cheers

*Edit: You can use this CLSID: CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C20}

look my example above and just adapt to your needs. You can use the CLSID:

To "My Computer":

CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

To "Control Pannel":

CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}

Example adding a shorcut icon inside "Control Panel" for "Sysinternals Process Explorer":

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}]
@="Sysinternals Process Explorer"
"InfoTip"="Exploration des processus."

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}\DefaultIcon]
@="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\ProcessExplorer\\procexp.exe,-0"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}\Shell]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}\Shell\Open]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}\Shell\Open\Command]
@="\"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\ProcessExplorer\\procexp.exe\""

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C19}]
@="Ajoute le module Exploration des processus au Panneau de configuration"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\ProcessExplorer]
"GroupPrivacyAcceptance"=dword:00000001

*Edit: last post updated, because the CLSID wasn't correct!

However if the CLSID value already exist, you can change the value like:

{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C20}

{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C21}

{D14ED2E1-C75B-443c-BD7C-FC03B2F08C22}

@coucou @myselfidem

Guys, do not discuss issues unrelated to 7Customizer. There are reasons for this: First this thread is only for 7customizer. Second, it is better that you post a new topic about your issue so everyone could benefit from your result. currently, the issue you discussed and solved is buried inside this long post. Finally, it will add more pages to this post to an extent that I will not be able to manage it.

Thank you for your understanding.

Regards
