grabby Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I am using WPI 7.7 on an xp disc and I keep getting:Could not open History Filefile c:\history.jserror number 70Before I was having the problem with using the .hta file instead of .exe file. When i first switched over to the .exe file it worked just fine and would install. Now I am getting the error again. I have xp sp 3 with ie 8 slip streamed in with nlite. WPI is started with runonce. Any ideas to why I have started to get the error again? Thanks a bunch.

grabby Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 I just realized that I failed to state that I get the error when installing MS office 2007.
grabby Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 I am now using the addon from http://www.mediafire.com/file/omewmdy3myn/...lorer%208.0.cab .Still getting the error.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) I think I found your issueYou are using a svcpack installer...Goto Ryanvm's and grab a true addon for IE8 and try that.If I remember right when integrating IE svcpack-style it doesn't quite fully work untill after 2 reboots. Something about the reg keys not being fully entered. Edited October 26, 2009 by Kelsenellenelvian
mritter Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 He has the old MS Office reg key issue. He needs the launcher or reg key fix before launching WPI.
grabby Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 I've gone through the first 20 pages of the forum and searched for office 2007 after doing that without finding information on the office reg key issue. Can you provide some more information about it please? Thank you.
chaoticyeshua Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Hi grabby. In order to fix the Office 2007 issue, you need to, before launching WPI, set these registry keys to "no"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\DisableScriptDebuggerIEHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Disable Script DebuggerI hope this helps.
mritter Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Download a new copy. The new exe is in there.
