September 6, 200916 yr [UserData] ProductKey=*****-*****-*****-*****-***** FullName="Kelsenellenelvian" OrgName="KelCorp" ComputerName=*Add the line ---> ComputerName=* <----
September 6, 200916 yr Author sorry m8 but do you mean keep the compuer name blank? or do i put a star in the computer name? im using nlite to do this. do i need to make a script like you did there? and if so how and where do i do this?
September 6, 200916 yr Open winnt.sif with notepad (Its in your i386 dir) look for the section [userdata]add this to the bottom:ComputerName=* (Yes there is an asterix there, that will use a random compname.)Then save it and your done.
September 6, 200916 yr Author i put a comp name in nlite unattended settings. dont i have to put in a password? or does that script just bypass the admin password too?
September 6, 200916 yr Author just tried what you said and your right it sets a random computer name , but the screen still comes up. its still asking for an admin password. how do i set it to skip this automaticly?
September 6, 200916 yr When you come to the page with Users in nLite, click on the Administrator on the left and on the right fill in the fields with your password for Administrator. That's it.
September 6, 200916 yr If you dont want a password, I presume you tick off blank password. See pic...http://windowsx.50webs.com/nliteimages/unattendedusers.png
