usb stick for windows98

I have an older laptop used exclusively for a Happy Voyager. I would like to be able to use a usb stick to transfer information from another computer to the older laptop. The older laptop does not recognize the usb stick drive. How can I correct this?

Sorry, I was thinking of another post. I checked the second link and got an older post from 2007 with lots of info. I am not sure if I have this correct, but if I install the OLEUP file and the DCOM98 file will I be good to go?

Try Maximus Decims Native USB Ver.3.3 first. Follow the instructions in the top link for installation method.
