cse Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Hi!I have tried to slipstream IE8 and hotfixes with Hfslip 1.7.9 beta and I get error "Setup was unable to copy the following file: jsdebuggeride.dll".I double checked the updates against http://www.vorck.com/windows/hotfixes_xp.html . The SOURCE directory has SP3 already installed, I tested with and without WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe in HF directory. Some other files the install is complaining: jsdebuggeride.dll.mui, jsprofilercore.dll, jsprofilercore.dll.mui and wganotifypackageinner.exe.I must have missed something. Thanks in advance.HFSLIP.zip
tommyp Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Do you see the "missing" files in the sourcess\i386 folder and/or on the burned CD? It could be as easy as a bad burn.

It could be as easy as a bad burn.Yes, I see at least jsdebuggeride.dl_ and jsdebuggeride.dll.mu_ on SOURCESS\I386 and on network drive I am installing from.Could it be 8 character limitation on file names on network install? I noticed other file names are maximum 8 characters long. I tried renaming them and adding the following to i386\$oem\$$rename.txt, but same errors occur.[\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32]jside.dl_ = "jsdebuggeride.dl_"jside.mu_ = "jsdebuggeride.dll.mu_"jscore.dl_ = "jsprofilercore.dl_"jscore.mu_ = "jsprofilercore.dll.mu_"jsui.dl_ = "jsprofilerui.dl_"jsui.mu_ = "jsprofilerui.dll.mu_"wgainner.ex_ = "wganotifypackageinner.ex_"
