dell cd activation

Featured Replies

I have a dell oem cd xp sp2 that always installs without having to activate. I made my nlite disc and added some new drivers to it ,but now after installing on virtual pc it asks to activate. I have checked the forums and have not found an answer.Does nlite remove something? It must be changing something.

thank you for any help

Why would you want nLite to add these files? Are you trying to make a non-OEM disc into one that acts like the Dell OEM disc?

I want to make an nlite disc from the dell disc that has extra drivers and remove thinngs we don't use and have an unattended install. I service alot of dell pc's and this would make life easier.

thanks

Nlite is for personal use only. Why would you use unsupported software on your customers?

"Sorry I cant fix the problems I created, no one is replying to my post in the forum." - is the beginning of a fantastic conversation

I've done it few times with my Acer OEM disc and it works fine for me, no activation needed.

Don't forget nLite is for personal use only.

Please re-read nLite's license - it cannot be used for anything else but personal use as the other posters have already mentioned.
