billybag Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 after "installing" my vlite windows, i get a missing or corrupt hal.dll message at startup and i cannot continue. i replaced the hal.dl with the hal.dl on my repair disk. (the startup repair didnt do anything and i left it running for 12 hours... it never ended)i then got a missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe. i tried doing the same as i did with hal.dll with ntoskrnl.exe but it did not do anything. ideas?
billybag Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 i am wondering if maybe this has something to do with having a dell oem? maybe i need to do something special to the vlite disk?
