after "installing" my vlite windows, i get a missing or corrupt hal.dll message at startup and i cannot continue. i replaced the hal.dl with the hal.dl on my repair disk. (the startup repair didnt do anything and i left it running for 12 hours... it never ended)

i then got a missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe. i tried doing the same as i did with hal.dll with ntoskrnl.exe but it did not do anything. ideas?

i am wondering if maybe this has something to do with having a dell oem? maybe i need to do something special to the vlite disk?

OEM images are not supported.Using such non-standard vlited image can cause number of unexpected problems...as seen in this case
