when i test in virtualbox it keeps booting the cd over and over instead of finishing install and im sure the press anykey boot message is set to disable what can cause it

all done in 1 nite session and no other modifications

also these hotfixes didnt install or work

kb898461

kb890830

kb905474

kb960715

kb955839

kb940157

kb909520

does that mean they have to be installed by run once or set as an addon instead of a straight integration

im sure the press anykey boot message is set to disable

Disabling the message has the machine NOT waiting and just... boot from cd.

no
cos i didnt change it

yes you did, we can see it in you ini file.

"CDPromptRemove" :whistle:

When you solve that, note that what happens the first time you use your virtual HDD, there is no partition. In that case, the "press any key to boot from CD" message does never appear as there is no partition to boot from and logical option is to boot from CD. Next, your XP cd install has you creating partitions format them and copy files, and at next reboot you should see the message and be able to not "boot from cd" to resume installation. If not (???), you can still change the virtual machine settings to boot from HDD at that time.
