Help with reshack please

Hi, i've been having this issue with reshack to where it won't show all the files in the .dll or .exe

Example in picture (missing numbers 1 - 5)

in the ntoskrnl.exe i'm missing 9 - 12 (no screenshot for that sorry)

That's normal, I opened those fils with ResHack on XP Pro SP3 and saw the same thing.

I advise not modifying system files, because it can lead to instability, and will fail 'SFC /SCANNOW' or 'SigVerif'.

How else do i modify the icons in XP then? I don't like programs like Windows Blinds as 1.) it costs money and 2.) it eats up system resources.. Is there another alternative that doesn't use up resources?

Well you could probably modify or add those icons, but since they were not present before you probably wont see them exposed elsewhere in the system. If you care about system resources then you probably want to keep the original icons or even go so far as to remove them since the bitmaps consume memory.

There is software like XPize, Vize, IconPackager, etc that can modify the entire shell at once.
