Hi Ekttob, I receive a similar error when i am trying to edit the start menu settings, Specifically the settings with drop down menus. Another issue i am having is that i continuously get an invalid answer file error.. Am i just incompetent or something?

Had a minor issue when changing the power settings for the unattend.xml and i ignored it, resulting xml file was corrupt and Windows would not complete installation.

Just curious, How's that new version coming along?

I'm having an issue with the latest release in that it is not slipstreaming most updates into windows (IE9 is most notable) It will do drivers and programs, But not updates (out of the 100 or so i have it only will do < 20)

Any news on anything that may help?

They can use imap, but they are limited to 300 messages maximum, And they have much more then that (about 1500+) I'm not sure who supplies their e-mail. It is a local business with a webserver, is about all i know. Another thing i forgot to mention, is Calendar and contact syncing would be nice, but not needed.

A client of mine would like to sync his workstation PC with his secondary workstation at another location. They want to do this without exchange, as it is a costly venture, and he is the only one in the company who wants it. I looked into the program Sync2, However when syncing it doesn't preserve his timestamps when he received the e-mails. And it doesn't sync subfolders he has in his inbox. So i am looking for alternatives. Are any of you aware of them? Sub $100 would be best, But i'm sure if it's under the cost of exchange he'll take it.

I'm having another issue, It seems any integration of programs i select do not take. The .iso file grows about 30mb, and one program i am including is 150mb. None of the programs however, are installed once windows completes. I also can not use the flash drive integrator (the flash it option at the end of BuClean) i start it and it finishes in about a second saying "Finished, Errors" if i re run it using the ISO to USB option in the main menu, it works, but when i try to boot it says "Error loading Operating System" EDIT: after installing on a test machine none of the settings/software i implemented using your software took effect.. Was hoping this would be a viable replacement to rt7lite too :/

As Viper999 said, the bug in the latest version (12-2-2012) is still there.

Do you guys know of any guides for slimming down XP? It needs to beable to have full access to the internet and be functional for web browsing and playing movies. Everything else can go. I saw the lifehackers guide, But that didn't really help since it didn't list what i can and can't remove. I've been working on my current one, But it keeps popping up with access restriction errors. I am trying to make it so my slipstream automatically activates windows and still skips the OOBE, Normally i wouldn't care, But i'd like to include Microsoft Security Essentials, Which won't install unless it's activated. is there anyway to do this? Custom built PC, so no OEM BIOS

What are the silent switches for Libre Office 3.4.1? I would like to make an addon for it (as i have for Open Office) But i can't seem to find the information i need. Can anyone help me out on this?

i wanna make an XP CD that copies the i386 folder to c: and sets that to XP's source path And how can i tell Windows to activate during unattended install? And finally (i know i'm a noob here..) When i try and do my current unattended install it keeps asking me for my administrator password (which i gave it one) for all my other users and says that it's wrong (as they don't have passwords..) going to control userpasswords2 and checking the box fixes this, dunno why though.

I've tried over and over to make a silent addon and i always get stuck at making the cab, i can't make the cab of the two files needed.. I've never made a switchless installer.. could you point me as to how to make one? I am thinking this code is the one i want to use avg_free_stf_en_90_707a1765.exe /hide /DONT_START_APPS /no_welcome /NOAVGTOOLBAR /NO_AVGW_STARTUP /QUIT_IF_INSTALLED /NORESTART i want it to install when XP installs, and i don't want the tool bar i want safe search, i don't want it to restart after install (as XP needs to finish) and i don't want to see it install (like the progress bar and stuff) is that the proper code?

How else do i modify the icons in XP then? I don't like programs like Windows Blinds as 1.) it costs money and 2.) it eats up system resources.. Is there another alternative that doesn't use up resources?

Hi, i've been having this issue with reshack to where it won't show all the files in the .dll or .exe Example in picture (missing numbers 1 - 5) in the ntoskrnl.exe i'm missing 9 - 12 (no screenshot for that sorry)

I have a strange (well maybe) request, I am trying to keep the XP "style" icons, but bring them up to Vista/Windows 7 par as far as quality, Can anyone point me to them? If they even exsist, i found a recycle bin, but thats it. EDIT: also, i've been having this issue with Resource hacker to where it doesn't see all the files inside the .dll/.exe/ect file EDIT2: tried redownloading it form a few different sites, still no luck.
