submix8c Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) Yes it is... read my post in the thread. I did an exhaustive comparison. It is indeed the IE8 RTM ("final")....and looked at your other posts. Exactly which version of XP are you using? x86 or x64? This is for x86 ONLY!"Not working" tells nothing. Please clarify from now on. Edited March 24, 2009 by submix8c
TedJBrown Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 download Internet Explore 8.0 final from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-...wide-sites.aspxplease help me how can use this file in nlite? This is currently the easiest way to integrate IE8 RTM with nLite:Do you want to know how to easily integrate the final version of IE8 (Internet Explorer 8) with nLite? You've come to the right place.1. Download the IE8 addon here:http://www.winaddons.com/internet-explorer-80/2. Insert the addon file you downloaded into the hotfixes page of nLite.3. Run the nLite process and enjoy.note: there's no need to slipstream IE7 first, this works fine without it. Also, I highly recommend that you slipstream XP SP3 (Service Pack 3) first.I'm not sure if this works with the x64 version of XP, maybe someone who knows can post a comment.
submix8c Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Unless I'm mistaken, this one is Integration-oriented -http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=131344Nice job Sereby. Works perfectly! The one here is definitely HotfixSlip-oriented - http://www.winaddons.com/internet-explorer-80/and has two files --- an INI (for nLite) and -- this : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-...wide-sites.aspxBoth versions are for XP-x86. There is none as-yet for XP-x64 nor for Server2k3 (either one). However, it should be relatively simple to create an INI for them.TedJBrown, please understand the difference, as I had pointed out in the first linked thread...The end result should be the same in either case, rendering one no better than the other...
LeveL Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 There is none as-yet for XP-x64 nor for Server2k3 (either one). However, it should be relatively simple to create an INI for them.If it is simple, where would I find out how to do it?No 2 applications are the same.
