FridgeTooFar Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 So i Bought a Gigabyte 4850 1gb Videocard (PCIE x16 2.0) The manual states that its minimal requirements are a 450 watt PSU w/32amps on the 12v rail. I currently own a Corsair 450VX with 33amps on the 12v rail is this enough to handle this powerhog? P.S my other components include a Gigabyte 790x MB, a AMD 6000+ 3.0ghz CPU and 4 gig corsair xms memory and 1 internal disk drive thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

James_A Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 In a word -- yes.With a single 4850 1gb and an AMD 6000+, I reckon the Corsair CMPSU-450VX is a good (80 Plus rated) power supply that can easily power that system.
