NEO-BAHAMUT-, Have you seen this Unattended guide? Also, on your Windows CD is a folder called Support which contains a file called Deploy.cab. Expand this file and look at the two .chm files. They contain lots of helpful information. Enjoy, John.

If I do the direct integration route will the dotnet and wmp11 appear under

Add/Remove Programs in the "Add/Remove Windows Components" list like it

does originally? Will this allow me to select to install them anytime once the OS is installed

or remove them vs. having to select Remove from the add/remove programs list.

I'd prefer if dotnet and wmp11 appear under the add/remove windows components list after

using Nlite.

no, items that are manually slipped generally do not appear.

I doubt you will have success slipping .NET and WMP11 without a third party integrator, which may behave differently.

EDIT: runonce does not count as slipstreaming in my book

When you say appear, do you mean the dotnet names don't appear in the ADD/Remove

list and/or the windows component list?

Does this apply if I use the wmp11 slipstreamer for direct integration vs. the runonce method

that is wmp11 appears in the add/remove and/or components list vs. no name appearing?

yup, like you dont see .Net 1.0 because its integrated moreso than installed. i think you can still 'msiexec /x{guid}', at least for pieces.

I use the runonce method because my users have to be able to uninstall from add/remove, and third party integrators dont always document all changes they make to the source, which your 'home' might not appreciate.
