  1. Thanks for helping out guys. Im kind of a noob though when it comes to running command lines and such. Would you be able to give me a hind sight as to what i do to slipstream them on to a Windows XP Sp3 CD? thanks.
  2. I mean erm... cough im using this for Personal Use at home and need to install some packages on to a "home" machine.
  3. Hi guys, not posted for a short while. I have a legit copy of Windows XP Sp3 and I have been using Nlite for a number of years now. To aquire all XPSP3 updates i use WUD and also use the latest URL for it. I have only ever been able to slipstream the following items - Critical Updates, IE7+updates, Media Player 11 and Windows Defender. I use this for work purposes. However. In order for my to use Group Policy to roll out all the software we currently use we Need .net framwork 2.0 installed. However if it is possible i would also like to slipstream all the service packs for .netfx with it. Is it possible for me to slipstream .netfx and is it quite simple to do? When ever i have tried slipstreaming it via Nlite it has failed. Any help would be nice. Thanks.
  4. Thanks mate ill take a look at the links you have provided.
  5. Is there a guide on here or somewhere on the net where i can create a windows XP 32bit image that is up to date with all hotfixes / patches and boots from a USB stick? If not has anyone done it before?
  6. Hi all, I am currently just going through slipstreaming my Windows XPSP3 CD. I have tried a couple of times now doing this. But seem to be failing on a couple of hotfixes / updates etc. I have a feeling that it is because of the order that i am installing the updates. Does that matter? Is it best to install updates by date of release? Also i seem to be struggling to slipstream Dotnet FX and its service packs/updates. Is this able to be done. I seem ok installing Windows Media player, IE7, Messenger and Defender. Can anyone help. Thanks.
  7. Hi all, Right i am having a few problems and need help on a few items. Firstly i am wanting to install "EVERY" update / hotfix that has been released prior to XPSP3. I have used Windows Updates Downloader first to get all the updates. When i add all the updates/hotfixes to the hotfixes section i keep getting errors on things like dot net fx. Also there are a few other updates that also fail. I have used the most up to date version for WUD with the latest updates. I have used a WMP11 slipstream software that obviously integrated Media player 11 on to my SP3 installation which works fine. I am also interested in putting Defender on to the installation. Is this easy to do and is there some sort of slip streaming device/tool i can use for this? I think Nlite is a brilliant tool but for hotfixes and stuff like that it needs to be a little more helpful in to how you input them. Can anyone help me thanks.
  8. Hi all, I have managed to create my WPI with all my apps on that i want etc. Now how do i now get it to work with my XP Pro installation CD? do i just copy it over to the root of the CD? Please help.
